Add triplet over multiple chords

Just a note that I've cleaned up the help documentation relating to adding a triplet over multiple chords, which you can find about 2/3 down the page here:
https://www.1chartapp.com/help-rhythm-notation/

The newly updated info:
  1. Use “Rhythm over Chords” mode.
  2. Place the cursor by the first chord in the sequence (“2m” in this example) and tap “Triplet.”
  3. Tap the first note (an eighth note in this example).
  4. Use the arrow button to move the cursor to the next chord, and type the next note.
  5. Once you’ve typed three notes, the triplet auto-completes.

How do you create a triplet where the first chord is rested?

Rest 1 #1

I can't get the triplet to show over the starting rest

You can notate that by using an X chord indicating "no chord here," aka rest.

There's really no way to stack a triplet on top of the rest in your example.
