1Chart vs NNS App

I’m curious about the paintbrush icon in 1Chart. When I tap on it, nothing happens. I have the latest Apple Pencil model and a 2024 iPad Pro. It would be nice to be able to use the Apple Pencil to make notes on a chart (the Nashville Number System app has this capability, but it won’t let you have 2 columns on a page). I wish either the NNS app would add 2-column capability, or 1Chart would add Pencil note-making capability.
 
Having the capability of using the Apple Pencil is invaluable to me as well. Any word on this overdue feature? Thank you for bringing this up.
 
I can't find the paint brush icon. Is it something that appears only with Apple Pencil?

As a workaround, I open all my 1Charts in ForScore which has robust mark up tools. If I need to correct a chart in 1chart and reimport, ForScore will save the notes but update the chart. Annoying when things move, but otherwise works great.

It should be noted that I use ForScore regardless of whether I take notes or not. It's FAR better suited to chart management than 1chart is.

I agree with everyone, and would like to have the Apple Pencil utilizable!

Additionaly, I would like to be able to create a "Box" around the Section Labels with the box auto-sizing according to the number of characters contained within it.

With these two enhancements, I could do everything within 1Chart. Please consider!
 
I should have caught the paintbrush question earlier... The paintbrush is just a graphic, not a button. Tapping it doesn't do anything. The paintbrush graphic is meant to imply that the two nearby buttons — Measure and Section — can be used to modify the style of a measure or section, not to create a new measure or section.

Since the paintbrush is confusing things, we'll be changing what that area looks like in a future version.

Also, noted about the Apple Pencil and markup requests!

Yes, there’s interest in having that kind of flexibility available, and we do have it on the wish list. Thanks for checking in on this.
 
@Mark, just got this app and am loving how much flexibility there is in notation, but am also wondering about pencil annotation ability. That feature is a pretty big reason that I use apps like NNS or ForScore, and would love to see 1Chart be able to offer. Any idea on what sort of timeline common feature requests like these are developed?
